Costs of buying a house I am planning to buy a house with mortgage in Wallonie and I want to figure out which price range I can afford. However, I am a bit perplexed by all different costs. What kind of costs are there when you buy a house and how are they calculated (as tax, administrative costs, mortgage costs, fees)? Is there a website where I can get a detailed information (language doesn't matter)?
I know there is registration fee (often 12.5% in Wallonie). There is notary cost but I don't know how this is calculated. I think there is also life insurance cost which depends on the lender but seems it changes between (2500 and 4000 per person). Is there another cost, like for asking mortgage? I really appreciate any pointer or information.
Edit: Thank you all for the pointers

on https://www.notaire.be/ you can find all info needed. You can also calculate the costs. You have the registration fee for the house, but also a registration for the mortgage.

with 'will', do you mean your testament? check www.notaire.be, or google that website called 'mon testament' or similar.
After yesterday's questions about pensions I want to push the boat further. can anyone recomend me an English speaking lawyer who can help me draw up a will? All suggestions appreciated..
