  We have been searching to adopt a rescue dog but with two boys, one 6 and one 13, there are very few in the rescue centres that can be adopted by families with young children. It seems sad to buy a puppy when we are told there are so many rescued dogs that need homes. Any suggestions anyone? We have tried Dogs Trust and Lord Whiskeys also RSPCA and Battersea Dogs Home without success. We think a small/medium dog would be best for us. We have not owned a dog before but we have had cats.   HELP!!! A friend has a dog that's starting to show unpredictable violent tendencies - snapping, growling and unprovoked attempts to bite. She's 70 and cannot handle the dog. Local charities aren't prepared to take him in for rehoming as they don't want to be responsible for any injuries he causes once rehomed and they've recommended having him put down. Can anyone suggest a way to help take this dog into care? It's a pedigree spaniel. Sorry this isn't dog show related, but I need the help of dog owners for possible solutions??

  Thanks for the help and advice. I've been recommended a charity which will take him on and make sure he's safely homed to give him the care and attention he needs. They have a no kill policy which is great http://www.prodogsdirect.org.uk/
