I am after a full service (disassemble, clean, oil; the whole shebang) for a couple of mechanical watches, one being a manual wind chronograph - the rest are time-only autos. Short of shipping the watch interstate or internationally, I am willing to travel to Sydney though. I have dealt with Nicholas Hacko about a year and a half ago, coming from several recommendations but I found him to be very brusque and slightly condescending. I cannot speak about the quality of his work though, as I did not follow up with a service. Haven't yet had the chance to try out any others in the Sydney area.   I've bought 1 watch from Hacko (Rolex Explorer II) and had it serviced there. He was very 'straight to the point' like you said, but I appreciated the no BS method of business. http://clockmaker.com.au/ for those that don't know who Hacko is.
