  A grkids.com mom writes, "Hello GR Moms! I have my oldest child in Preschool this year and couldn't believe that they were starting sign-ups for Kindergarten at my daughters school already. I am really struggling with this All Day Kindergarten idea, and wonder if anyone knows of some schools that are still doing every day half days or maybe 3 full days? My daughter has a August Birthday, so she will be just 5 when school starts, and I know she's ready mentally, but I am worried about the physical toll it will take on her. I am not really interested in a Young 5's program even though I have heard great things about them. I just really don't agree with this All Day Kindergarten an am looking for some alternatives. We live on the NW side of GR and I have not had any luck with my own searching. Help Please!"
