Can anyone recommend a good vegan friendly restaurant for dinner in the CBD? I know there's heaps in places like Fitzroy and Brunswick, but looking for an after work dinner location in the CBD.

with the mock meat in enlightened cuisine, realized majority of them are not vegan. Might need to confirm with them. If you like a simple meal, Om vegetarian on Elizabeth st offers 2 curries, naan & rice for $6.50 - all you can eat. Or take a tram to smith st n Gasometer's vegan selection is amazing.
Best Vegan restaurants/cafes in Melbourne?..?? 1st time visitor..... :)

Mos def Lord Of The Fries, I also visited The Radical Grocery Store where I stoked up on AWESOME stuff plus got introduced to Mister Nice Guy* Vegan Cupcakes SOOOO GOOD!!!!!! I didn't make it to Habib's grocer, but I have heard it is pretty darn good! I went to Enlightened Cuisine http://ecuisine.com.au/ for a dinner and Chan House for dinner one night. http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/71/1532470/restaurant/CBD/Chan-House-Healthy-Vegetarian-Option-Melbourne. All these places are SUPER FANTASTIC, just make sure you ask for vegan foods, except at TRGS where EVERYTHING is vegan!! Have a great time (:
