Any recommendations for interesting exercise-y type things preferably around the Tanjong Pagar/ Chinatown area? That aren't just gym sessions/ yoga? The food belly looks like it's sprouting triplets and needs reining in... danke.

try http://www.ufit.com.sg/, I did a trial with them, they are really hardcore, and effective. Boutique gym (on Amoy St.) with really wonderful trainers that cater to your personal needs.
