⭐️ [1 Star] - Beware: Predatory Billing and Poor Customer Service
I came to this firm expecting professional and transparent service, especially after being told by Michael that I would be charged $600 per return, for a total of $1,200. What transpired was nothing short of appalling.
First, I was billed $2,000—$800 more than initially quoted—without any explanation or authorization for the "extra work," which John claimed was 6 hours of work. In reality, it was six minor QuickBooks edits, something that could be done in mere minutes. No engagement agreement was presented to authorize this extra billing.
The audacity didn't stop there. Before I even received a bill, they sent me a contract stating I would pay any and all bills that arise. John even mentioned this could exceed $3,000. Absurdity at its finest.
I was also charged $955 to file a personal tax return, which had been edited without my consent. When I questioned these issues, John raised his voice and threatened to take me to small claims court. This is not how a professional firm should conduct itself.
What's alarming is that this firm has been in business for 20 years, yet only has one Google review. This leads me to believe that they delete their Google Business Listing to bury negative feedback.
As a small business owner who works 80-hour weeks to pocket $3,000, I find their practice not just unethical but downright predatory. They are not allies to small businesses or everyday people. Consider yourself warned.
I will make it my mission to ensure this review stays visible for all eternity, to prevent others from falling into their trap.
