  Yes, like Dana, when I want a receipt, I do BBBS: http://www.bbbsfoundation.org. And, when you don't need that receipt (which, frankly, the IRS doesn't really care about unless you're at risk of an audit), use the various boxes around town.

  Big Brothers Big Sisters. You can schedule a pickup by calling 1 (800) 483-5503. You can also schedule by emailing to donate@bbbsfoundation.org I have used them many times. You do not need to be home, just let them know where you leave the donation. They come and pick it up that day, & leave you a Donation Receipt for your taxes.
