  Help to all,parents or advocates in the isle, MN area. There are a set of parents that need someone to go through the IEP meeting to help them get instruction for their child. The district has and wants to continue just placing a para next to him to do his work. Is there anyone from that area that can sit in with them?

  Out of District Placement "Does anyone have experience fighting a school system to have your child placed in a private school. We are about to go to my sons iep meeting Thursday. He has not progessed hardly at all in the 4 years he has been in school. We are petitioning them to send him to a private autism school. I have heard some places that the state (we are in va) will give you an advocate but I can't find any information on that. A lawyer is super expensive. I will do it if I have to but I want to hear others experiences! Thanks!"
