I need help! Lenders/Realtors/Brokers has anyone had a appraiser note peeling paint on a house built after 1978 and have the lender REQUIRE a EPA CERT from the painter who made repairs in order to close?? Lender is telling me its a FHA requirement. In this case the work is done and approved by appraiser. Buyer ready to close and my frustrated seller not wanting to spend another dime. Feedback PLEASE.
