  Not a baby question but I am starting my own business soon and need advice from an accountant, any suggestions for someone who is good with small business and doesn't cost an arm and a leg - preferably North side?

  Canberra BusinessPoint is fantastic - it was all I needed for when I started and they are just really helpful and free mostly (depends on type of courses run) They also have 1/2 hr sessions with an accountant from time to time - just ask. I went in braced with heaps of questions & came out with clarity. ALSO ... ATO have a free program where they actually send someone to your house for an hour or so and run you through your obligations etc. http://www.canberrabusinesspoint.com.au/
