Hi everyone, two random questions for you. Firstly, does anyone know a really good place to go where loads of bluebells grow? Secondly, does anyone know a good place to take our 15 yr old son to give him a go driving our car? Any wasteland anywhere?

Does anyone know of a place, where it is safe to practise driving a car , that is off road but with a tarmac surface....like a disused runway?Insurance is prohibitively expensive so is there any where, not too far away, where it would be legally ok?
Anon- hello I have recently read that you can start taking private driving lessons at 16 and 6 months but can't take your test until 17 I am currently 16 and 4 months and was looking for an instructor for October, recommendations and prices:) thanks in advance:) and as local as possible:)

As stated above you must be 17 and hold a current provisional licence before you can drive a car (category B licence) on the UK roads. Under 17 you have 2 options - 1) a moped (but you have to do CBT before you can ride on the road) or 2)something like the Young Driver scheme - www.youngdriver.eu which takes 11 to 17 year old in a car park - which would give you basic skill to get you started before your 17 th birthday.. Thank you Clare for the shout on this... Good luck...
