On the now-almost-defunct MSVP Yahoo group, all messages are archived. Therefore, you could type in appliance and find that there are s everal recommended. I use Charlie of ASAP appliance repair, $55 for the visit, and he knows how to fix stuff like nobody else, a really experienced guy. Here's the MSVP yahoo address http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MSVillagePeople/ and here's Charlie's info, from a post I made on the group I called John last week and when I got the call back I was told it was one week for an appointment since "it's a one-man operation". I then called ASAP repair, recommended by someone on this group, and whom I used before for a stove repair, and he made an exception since he was taking Friday off for Veterans Day, and came to my house early on Friday and fixed by icemaker pronto. Only $55 for a service call. Charles ASAP Appliance: 305-893-3057. Facebook is the bright shiny object that has us engaged, but sometimes old school works best.
