In other words, not necessarily a "socially responsible" or "green" company, but one that has demonstrated a passion for their employees, and doesn't look to maximize profit by laying off staff, cutting jobs, sending them off shore, etc. Any one have any suggestions for me to research further? Are they hiring, creating jobs or waiting for Obama to leave office? For example, Darden Restaurants (Red Lobster, Olive Garden) just announced (proudly) that they are going to make many of their employees part time so they don’t have to comply with “ObamaCare”. Sad. I won’t eat at these places and I don’t want them in my mutual funds, but unless you invest in individual stocks, you may have them in your mutual fund.
