  Does anyone know of a good roofer that can do a favor for someone. My neighbor is an elderly lady who is disabled and wheel chair bound and lives on a fixed income for disability. Her homeowners insurance denied her claim, fema denied her and red cross denied her for ANY help This is so disturbing and ridiculous. Not sure where all that money that they got from donations went to but it sure isn't to the people that need the help. Her house continues to leak and is getting mold and she can't get any help. So if anyone knows of a good fair and HONEST roofer that can help someone in need could you please let me know.

  Do any of my FB friends know about opportunities for volunteer travel? My friend Hadar Muscal would like to travel and volunteer in exchange for accommodation and/or meals. Does anyone have any recommendations? She mentioned an interest in Africa, South America, and Central America but is open to opportunities in places she hasn't previously considered.

  All Hands Volunteers is a good group--I did Katrina relief with them back when they were called Hands On USA. Haven't kept up with the org at all, but I'm sure they still do great stuff, and most of it is international. Mostly unskilled labor rebuilding homes & buildings, but I'm sure they'd find places for people with specific skills. http://hands.org/
