Starting a Housing Coop I'm looking for information about how to start a housing cooperative in NYC. I'd like to help my neighbors buy our building from our landlord. Can anyone point me to some information or a lawyer who does that kind of work?
Thanks!!

Do you mean a classic co-op or... something more with a eye to affordability. I seem to remember that https://www.brickunderground.com/ has some articles written by lawyers, you could also contact http://www.nysba.org/ for a referral.
Looking for NYC lawyer w/ NYC DOE experience I'm looking for a lawyer to represent me. It's not for a 3020-a process which is what most lawyers who help teachers are familiar with. I need someone who has had experience dealing with the NYC DOE bureaucracy. Does anyone know of any contacts?

Looking for Civil Right Attorney in NYS Hey guys I'm new here. I'm looking for a Civil Rights Attorney who has experience suing Counties. A friend of mine had their rights violated in some really deplorable ways. CPS was called to investigate the ex and it was turned around on my friend. My friend has 100% proof of innocence, my friend actually recorded many conversations which prove this. In NYS you are legally allowed to record without telling the other party which is awesome. I'm proud of my friend for for being so smart and knowing to record. Any advice is appreciated. Pro-Se is an option too, the case is that strong I don't think my friend could lose. It's pretty terrible what happened, that kind of crap shouldn't happen to anyone, ever.

If there is a question here, you've already answered it yourself. >I'm looking for a Civil Rights Attorney You might contact the [New York State Bar Association](http://www.nysba.org) if you are looking for a referral.

You can try http://www.nysba.org/ (you can research complaints) or http://lawyers.findlaw.com/ . I used the 2 nd source a lot during my Paralegal studies.
