  Hi everyone, My partner and I are getting married in Toronto. We have a small wedding party of about 10 people. We are looking to substitute a proper reception with a restaurant dinner. Can anyone recommend a vegan restaurant where we might be able to do that? Just a nice-ish place where we can book a bigger booth or separate room type/ bring a cake and champagne for a fee maybe and rely on them for the meal itself and drinks etc. No preference for the type of food. The wedding is happening on Nov 26.

  Hibiscus is also good. Fressen closed its door to open a new tapas style place called Grasslands http://www.grasslands.to/

  As a previous employee of Fressen, I want to let you know that it no longer exists! HOWEVER, there is an amazing new restaurant in its place called Grasslands and you two should check it out (same owner).

  Fressen's gone but in its place is Grasslands--MUCH better (but still pricey). In Little India, Udupi Palace is great for veggies. Banjara, on the side of town, makes great stuff and will omit the ghee.
