Concerned about the refugee children on the border? You can help. Casa San Jose is working with children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala right here in Pittsburgh! They are in immediate need of gift cards for food and clothing (or taking children to Goodwill and buying them some clothes), people to provide transportation to medical and dental appointments, tutors for Kindergarten and school aged children, and people to help get children registered in the public schools. Transportation does not require that you speak Spanish. Also, they are looking for a list of potential, short-term foster families for children (not here yet) who are too young for group homes. This would require proficiency in Spanish. Please message me if you would like more information on any of the above.
