Where to donate almost an entire apartment full of stuff? Hello everyone, I'm looking for a good charity that would take almost a whole one bedroom apartments' worth of stuff. I have a couch and a kitchen island and a bed and a bunch of kitchen and cooking utensils, etc. Does anybody know of a good charity, especially one that would come pick it all up?
Does anyone know of someone in need of furniture? We have a brown leather couch that we no longer need and would like to give it to someone or donate to a place that would give it to a someone that could use it. There are some signs of wear on one of the cushions but alot of life still left. Served us well for the last few years & would like someone else to get use out of it.

We donate household items to Bridging. Bridging.org
Does anyone know of a local organization that takes furniture/household goods to give to people in need (as opposed to reselling them)? Preferably one that will pick up?
Where can I get ride of a hidabed couch? Goodwill wouldn't take it and i can't put it in the dumpster any ideas of a place or anyone that takes the thing for free
Are there programs or organizations in the area that take clothing donations for people who need them, and not sell them for profit?

If there are household items (furniture, bedding, dishes, etc...) Bridging is a great place! They give household items to people transitioning out of homelessness (most from fleeing domestic violence). They can come to your house and pick the stuff up too! http://www.bridging.org/
Does anyone know of a location that takes entertainment centers? I think we are going to have to just bring it to the dump but wanted to check bf we do ... it seems such a waste.
Hello all, I am trying to find someone in the class that has stayed in touch with Steve Heitzman, (Lincoln Jefferson). If you have stayed in touch with him please let me know. I am trying to help Gayle from afar and I am looking for some help. Thanks

I got in touch with Steve. His father Fran was the founder of Bridging.org and was happy to pass-on to his father, Gayle and Craigs need. He said that they would be helped early next week. Thank God for good classmates that are willing to help out. Thank you Steve!!!!
Looking to Help Hi Guys!
Recently we decided to upgrade our living room furniture. Our previous furniture has been in the family many years, and is still in good shape. We reupholstered the matching couch and chair/ottoman. The two other matching "accent" chairs are still in good shape as well. I also have a very nice upright Ethan Allen hutch and a buffet. I posted them on craigslist and haven't received a single bite.
I figure it's time to bite the bullet, but I'd like to take the opportunity to help a family or individual in need instead of just dumping it at a Goodwill. Does anyone know of organizations around town, or personally know anyone who really could use the help right now? I'd like to do it the right way.
Thanks for the help in advance!

Check out Bridging in Bloomington or Roseville. They will also pick up your items. But I believe there is a fee for that. http://www.bridging.org/

Does anyone know where I can get rid of an old queen size bed? Metal frame, mattress , and box spring? Do any shelters take them? I can have garbage pick up, but would rather give it to someplace that can use it.
