  Hey! Nice looking Catalina! I have a 280 as well. A couple of places to check out are: http://www.michiganmotorz.com And http://www.1800 runsnew.com I wouldn't go for a truck motor, although any Chevy (GM) 305 or 350 should bolt right in. A 454 might need you to relocate the mounts. That's a pain in the arse. So my suggestion would be to stick to a 305/350. Also Crusader, Mercury, and Volvo Penta have some choices too. Just more $$. Good luck!! And do yourself a favor, replace the gas tank if there is any corrosion. Make sure you check the tranny while the motor is out as well.
