Since I'm on the page, I will also add that just this week, we had a water main break to our house. We called a plumber that was recommended by the City of Atmore. He came out THAT DAY, dug up the main and replaced about 4 feet of the line. This digging included going through asphalt. His price also included re-filling and re-surfacing the hole, and a return check to correct any sinking. We did not have to be without water overnight, or even for a full day. THAT is a huge thing. His charge was WAY less than I feared. It was MORE than reasonable. Indeed, I expected the digging to cost what he charged for the whole job.
His name is Don Melvin, and I recommend him for plumbing work, hands down.
