  I'll state the obvious and say that Thesis has AMAZING support, but right out of the box it does look fairly ugly. I've made mine look great (http://mnhome.org/) with a bunch of custom coding, which I know is beyond what many agents could do. In the past I've used Theme Forest to find some really good looking themes that are easy to customize, and generally cost about $35 each.
