OK, FB Peeps, need some help.
We have some valuable recordings (including my father playing the piano) on old reel-to-reel tapes (width is about 1/2 " or 3/4"). He has TWO reel-to-reel tape decks, but neither of them work properly. I really want to have these recordings digitally transferred. Possibilities: 1) Fix the tape decks so we can record ourselves. Problem: Don't know anyone who can fix these old dinosaurs or 2) Find a working reel-to-reel and record from that or 3) Find a reliable person/business who can do the digital transfers for us.
Here are some pix. One of the machines is a Sony, the other only marked TC353D.
Would welcome any suggestions or advise. Thanks!
