  I have a Maytag that did the same thing a couple years ago. Finally had a repair man come and look last year and he said that Maytag is made by Whirlpool and they are in the process of re-doing their ice makers cause of all the problems with them. He said he would get with me when they are available to order and I haven't heard from him. (Maybe he forgot?) I just haven't taken the time to call him. I would like mine fixed too!
