My fiance, my son, and I are moving to Crawfordville in less than a month. Does anyone have any feedback on fun places to go or things to do with your children?
If you had friends with young kids visiting the Tallahassee area from out of town, where would you recommend they visit?

Within Tallahassee, the Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science is the best bet. When I was growing up, it was mostly just the local zoo, but now they have the Tree-Top Adventures for all ages! Now, of course, that depends on what "young" means. Wakulla Springs, only 14 miles outside of Tallahassee, is also great! Aside from the beautiful swimming area, they have lovely nature trails and spectacular boat tours through the springs, including glass bottom boat tours. Again, depending on what "young" means, you can also rent canoes or tubes and enjoy a few hours along the Wakulla river. As an adult, I understand that Tallahassee isn't the most touristy of cities to visit, but as a child growing up here, those were my two favorite things to do.
