Its been years since our last move, and I'm done asking friends for moving help with the promise of pizza and beer - I'm ready to hire movers. Anyone recommend a company particularly skilled at navigating bulky furniture up narrow and twisting old Somerville stairwells? We'll be removing the banisters so it won't be impossible, just tricky. I think we've ruled out Gentle Giant due to cost, and are considering Stairhoppers, but if you've had a particularly good and affordable experience I'd love to know!

  Two years ago we used Boston Best Rate Movers and they did a good job of getting things up our stairwell to the second floor. The pulled up right along the house, laid a ramp across the sidewalk from the side of the truck to the front porch. They did a good job and price was reasonable.
