  Sliding scale/self-pay discount dental crowns I just found out I need a dental crown. My dentist said they are $1300 and that's just... not affordable. That's more than a month's worth of rent for my family. It's not covered by my insurance (Medicaid). Does anyone have any suggestions for a dentist that has a sliding scale or self-pay discount (if they even exist)? I know there's Eastman Dental but I have heard mixed reviews and I am a bit wary.
