My budget is roughly $70 per head for food but I keep coming up blank with either no replies to emails or lack of information on websites. Do you guys know anywhere suitable (preferably Italian, French, American/Fusion but I'll consider anywhere) in central Manhattan? Or do any of you guys work/know anyone who works/owns a place and can help sort me out a good deal?   Private dining rooms in NYC will probably be more than $70/head. Did you try checking out [OpenTable](http://www.opentable.com/info/banquets.aspx?m=8)? I'd recommend: [5 Ninth](http://www.5 ninth.com), [Bread & Tulips](http://breadandtulipsnyc.com/), or [Bar Boulud](http://www.danielnyc.com/barboulud.html) . Bar Boulud seems closest to your price range at $75/head for just the dinner alone, without the cocktail reception, bar, or room rental fee. For example, something like [Bottega Del Vino](http://www.bottegadelvinonyc.com/index_nm.html) is very much in the middle-upper range, but is priced at $100/head (at the very very cheapest; goes up to $265/head).
