I need some recommendations for shops that will restore this thing. Thanks.

North Hollywood Speedometer & Clock in North Hollywood, CA. They've restored several for my late father and I to include Clock and Speedo for my 50 Split Bug back in 1969. Excellent service. http://www.nhspeedometer.com/
I need to get my early 1940s Veigel speedo fixed. Its off of a 1941 KS 600 Zundapp. BMW bikes also used them...Can anyone recommend a person/company??? thanks, Rob

See if North Hollywood Speedometer ( www.nhspeedometer.com ) can fix it. I've had them rebuild the Veigel in my '53 R51/3 and they did an excellent job.
hello, I live in upstate new york and have never posted before. does anyone in the group have any ideas on where I should send my speedo unit out to be rebuilt? Andy.
Andy, I have no experience with any of these folks, but I had this saved in my inbox and am just passing it along... 1. North Hollywood Speedometer http://www.nhspeedometer.com/ 2. Palo Alto Speedometer http://www.paspeedo.com/ 3. APT Instruments International Inc. http://www.gaugeguys.com/ 4. Overseas Speedometer http://www.speedometer.com/ 5. Leo's Speedometers, Miami http://www.leospeedometer.com/ 6. Hartmut and the guys. I'm not quite sure who this is -- I assume it's one of the above. Best of luck,
My speedo/tach needs repair. Can someone give me the name of the [Austin?] Texas rebuilder? Also, can anyone comment as to their satisfaction with his work? Thanks.
I think you are talking about Overseas Speedometer: http://www.speedometer.com/ I have not actually seen their work, but when I contacted them they could not do the cosmetic stuff that some of the other folks can, and the price was about the same. Foy my money I would recommend North Hollywood Speedometer: http://www.nhspeedometer.com/ Steve
ditto on North Hollywood Speedometer: http://www.nhspeedometer.com/ They did one for me last winter, came back working and looking like new and in less than two weeks. No the slightest problem with them or their work. Jeff Trapp
Hello; Anyone know where to get a motorcycle speedometer repaired here in Los Angeles?
I think these are the guys who used to do all the Porsche stuff.. Give them a call and let us know.. http://www.nhspeedometer.com/ Alex
A few months ago I had Palo Alto Speedometer restore my 1960 BMW R60 speedo. It took them FOREVER, and I had to send the speedo back because of shoddy workmanship. I would not recommend this business. You might want to try North Hollywood Speedometer: www.nhspeedometer.com
