Sugar free treats for pregnant mama? Natural products? Hello! My friend lives in Ottawa and she has gestational diabetes. It's her birthday tomorrow and I'd like to send her a gift card for a treat.
Can anyone suggest a bakery that sells sugar free items? Her favourite is ice cream but she'd happy with any options.
Also looking for a mom care kit type item to send her for after the baby is born (nipple balm, lotions, etc) that are all natural.
Thank you!

[Joy of Gluten Free](https://www.thejoyofglutenfree.com/) and [Thimblecakes](https://thimblecakes.ca/) are my go-to places for food-sensitive desserts. Thimblecakes sells coconut milk ice cream which is AMAZING. Stay away from Strawberry Blonde. A lot of their products I've found are either REALLY sugary (which is okay for me occasionally when I'm in the mood - looking at you, Double Chocolate Brownie) or ridiculously dry and bland (which is disappointing considering their names/descriptions).
Any vegan bakeries around? Need to buy a small cake tonight. Thanks!

The Joy of Gluten free has vegan options. I would call them to confirm availability though. They are on Greenbank just north of Hunt Club http://www.thejoyofglutenfree.com
I have a friend who is going through the pastry/baking program at Algonquin. She needs to complete 80 hours in a bakery setting. Does anyone have any leads on a bakery that might be interested and benefit from her volunteering there? Thank you.

They don't need anyone with a seal. I take students all the time at the joy of gluten free. Students get full exposure to over 85 items we bake from scratch daily. I also hire my students after the program and supervise them myself as I am the head Baker and recipe developer. The joy of gluten free. 250 Greenbank. It's an easy bus from the college. Thejoyofglutenfree.com thanks everyone. There are lots of people available from the program. You just have to contact Bianca Whitesell at the college. She's the one in charge of placements. They just had a job fair

Our guilt free brownie cake would do the trick. Chocolate cake. Fresh strawberries. Coconut cream. No artificial sweeteners. Very yum. Thejoyofglutenfree.com And it's one of our naked cakes. Thanks Katrina Kassis for the shout out.
