Hi Alpiners. I have been experiencing knee pain while running lately..my knees have never been great and seem to be worse these days..anyone have a great knee doc or suggestions?

You can also see our Sponsor Midwest Bone and Joint Institute in Barrington and ask for Dr. Antony Savino. He is a runner and is a great doctor! He has helped many f our Alpine Runners including myself for many years! His number is 847-382-6766. He has an office in Arlington Heights as well. One thing you may try is knee strengthening exercises. The knee cap is just floating on the top of your bones and it gets disengaged when increasing your mileage too fast. Strengthening the muscles around the knee cap will put it back in place. It is something I have told many runners and it has worked. It sure does not hurt you!
Need a recommendation for a really good chiropractor in our area to help me with my sciatica nerve as I train for the Chicago marathon. Any recommendations?

Catherine, I would recommend a sports medicine doctor instead of a Chiropractor. There is a very good one I recomment Dr. Anthony Savino from the Mid-West Bone and Joint Institute in Barrington. His # is 847-382-6766. I had that same issue and he took care of it and it has not come back at all. I have been pain free from that for over 2 years now! He is great!
