Our wedding was on august 5th 2022 and everything was absolutely beautiful and exactly how we wanted with the exception of our cake. when i first reached out to Mr. Rollins he stood apart from the other bakers because he took his time listening to the type of cake i wanted during our phone conversation and asked for pictures of what i wanted. He seemed confident that he could give me what i asked for, which was a three tier cake (real bottom layer and two faux layers), the upper tiers in white and the bottom layer in emerald green with a marble effect. He told me i would get fresh florals to match my wedding decor (white hydrangeas, calla lillies, and roses). He also promised me an anniversary cake which would be packaged and ready to freeze. I sent him some inspiration pics, my vision for the big day, and a picture of the color the wedding party was wearing. As we got closer to the wedding date it seemed like his responses were short and sometimes i had to text him more than once. That worried me but i figured it was because he was busy. Fast forward to the day of our wedding… when we walked into the reception i glanced over and first thing i said to my husband was ‘wtf happened to our cake?’ The fondant was lumpy and had a big smudge on the side, the icing was coming off on certain parts, the hydrangeas were wilted and there were fake orchids and roses on the cake. If i had known he was using fake flowers i would’ve paid more for real flowers. I was under the impression that i was getting live flowers that matched the wedding flowers. I was deeply disappointed. He gave us three layers of real cake (no faux layers) which i believe was a way to compensate for a rushed job. I reached out to him with pictures of the cake and he tried to blame it on him having to walk around with the cake. i didn’t eat the cake so i can’t say how it tasted but my guests said it was good. For that reason, i asked him for a partial refund instead of a full refund. He agreed but every time i would reach out he would have another excuse. I would NOT recommend KSR Cakes and would suggest to pay the extra money to go with a reputable baker.
