I've a pattern for a tunic that uses gores; front, sides and back - though I'm told you can delete them to taste. What is the general thought on gores, and the flow of the tunic under an apron dress? Though I've not a pattern for the apron yet (looking to make a simple norse apron dress and tunic for now) I've seen some with and without gores, wrap, open in front... I know it is personal style, but can anyone direct me to a site that has a good 'tried and true' pattern. Would like something a bit more fitted perhaps. Many thanks, in advance!

  The tricky part about Norse clothing is 1) the term "Norse" encompasses several cultures over an extended period of time and 2) only fragments of clothing remain so there are a lot of different theories about who wore what and when and why.
