  Small disclaimer: I am aware the topic has been discussed & asked multiple times, but this request is slightly different. I am looking for an independent surveyor/expert specialized in dampness. The building survey of an house I am trying to buy reports that some walls show signs of dampness. The surveyor recommended a quote from companies like Kenwood and Peter Cox.   Hi Sue, I use http://www.envirovent.com/. They will have an engineer in area out to you and advise. I use Cyclone 7 humidity tracker in bathrooms. A bit bulky but work well.

  Would anyone know how best to deal with a reoccurring condensation problem in a storage cupboard(no external walls around) we have a "growing" problem in a cupboard next to a bathroom which was refub, discovered a leak which went unnoticed for some time. Leak has been fixed and cupboards dried out then repainted. I cannot say the builders used anti condensation paint... Does this paint even work? Any ideas why the condensation returns or how can be stopped?
