  My six year old daughter wants to take a dance class. She is a beginner. I have no idea what type of dance, neither does she, probably ballet. Recommendations for where to go and or type of dance? I like convenience, so closer to River Hill is better, but I'll take all recommendations. Thanks!

  Another Studio Dans vote here! They are amazing with the kids of all levels! I have a 9-year old daughter there now and have had my son dance there in the past. There are different types of classes available for 6 year olds too, to see what type of dance she prefers, like ballet/jazz or ballet/tap. check out their website: http://www.studiodans.com/

  My 7 year old niece is taking Ballet/Jazz at Studio Dans. It's mostly ballet. She's loving it.

  Another Studio Dans fan here... All four of my kids have danced there (boys and girls) - three still do and two are totally devoted to dance - they love it here!!! Only 10 minutes from River Hill and a fantastic staff and atmosphere. It might be too late to sign up for a class now but she could register for next year in the spring and sign up for a summer camp in the summer to see if she would like it.

  Are there any ballet/dance classes in our immediate area for 2/3 year olds? My daughter was taking classes at her daycare center, however her new one I just moved her to does not have them. I'm finding classes with rec n parks are usually only during the day, so that does not help a parent who works! lol! I found one at Little Gym in Frederick on weekends, but was hoping to find something a little closer.

  Studio Dans is fantastic. As your daughter grows up, she will find that many of her future classmates will be dancing there as well. They have a huge Clarksville following there and it's a wonderful school. The recitals are also out of this world. neither of you will be disappointed. :) 301-498-DANS.   We love Studio Dans in Fulton… it's our first year with this studio, so we'll learn in June how the recitals go... but I've heard nothing but wonderful things! The location could not be anymore convenient for those in Clarksville! Many of our friends are dancers at SD!

  Dance connections will definitely take your daughter if she is 3 or even close to 3 ( they're lenient on the age thing). I can't say enough great things about dance connections. They don't push the girls and make it fun. The recital is beautiful and classy but not at all stressful. They have a lot saturday options. But I have heard great things about studio dans as well. Good luck! ( ps: dance connections will let you do a trial class for free I think)
