  Bob this isn't near McKinney but I have used Triple A Muffler at 701 W. Main in Garland, 972-272-5470. They put a Pypes Cat Back on my 89 last year and I have not had any problems. They were recommend by Don Pattie, another club member. Ralph Perkins

The dealer's conveniently located, but completely clueless, probably rather sell me a new one. Thought I'd take the car somewhere else and take the opportunity to get the engine really looked at.
