  We hired Bates Painting Company to paint our entire house. They did a Great Painting Job! They are on the 'A' list of Angie's List. They are locally owned and operated here in Kansas City. Doug Bates painting staff are all FULL TIME employees for the company. They too are Union painters and lead certified.   Has anyone run into a problem regarding lead paint when repainting their exterior? We hired a painter with top reviews on Angie's list, but he backed out before he even began claiming that the regulations regarding how to treat lead paint had changed and his workers were going to need to get re-certified. We're still looking to get our exterior done, so recommendations are welcome!
