  ive recently been to a nice billiard&pub -place next to barbican, could be an alternative to the founders arms and not too far away from GDSA via northern line (here s the website: http://www.19-20.co.uk ). There is obviously no nice view on any river but a nice atmosphere and i guess its less crowded than the founders arms;)
