is there a local place I can hire a van on a Saturday morning and return on Sunday..? or do they all return on Mondays in order to charge the extra day?
I have a large sideboard to bring to a friend will be moving it ourselves so no need for offers thanks, just recommendations or advice - thanks :-)

Look at the website icanhire.com. you can hire a van by the hour and they are parked in various places. I've used them loads and it's so easy.
Anyone local that can hire out a LWB van this Saturday at a reasonable price?
Chris S. replied:
icanhire.com have vans in Columbia Way Worthing, cheap as anything and I've used about 10 times in past 2 years, always fine, best value. You just need to register and do your driving licence verification with them and dvla (conference call) before hiring, eg do it before the day of hire).
Hi, does anyone have a recommendation for a van hire / man with a van for this Saturday? We are literally moving round the corner in Surbiton but need a van for our bigger pieces of furniture. Thanks!

I have used this company several times with no problems - they're a bit like zip car but for vans and probably the cheapest you'll find. http://www.icanhire.com
Hello. I'm looking to hire a man and a van to help me move from stuff from Upminster to south London (I don't need a massive van as I'm not moving furniture, but I do need someone to drive it). Can anyone recommend any local van hire companies? Thank you very much.

Hi. anyone know of a "man with a van" in the area, I need to return some packages to Coventry, and they are of an awkward shape so I can't use normal courier services? Thank you, Ilenka
Anyone know of a good self drive 7.5 tonne truck hire company. Need as low a deposit as possible for the start of March. Thank you in advance x

icanhire.com. Its 9.46 an hour and all you do is register and they check your details with dvla who ring you to confirm and then you just book online and pick the van up at various places and get in by remote. No deposit to pay
Anyone know of a good Man with Van - pref local, reliable and reasonably priced?

If you have friend to drive or carry stuff, I reccomend icanhire.com, my wife and I used them recently. You can book by the hour and pick up the van from a local street. You unlock and get the keys by using your phone. We had a very large transit van for 24 hours for £51.50
Does anyone own, or know someone who owns, a rundown transit van (ideally yellow or white)? Looking to borrow one for a film shoot for 3 days in December. We've got £300 allocated - anybody have any tips?
TJ J. replied:
ICanHire.com hires out battered white transit vans, they're parked all over London (accessed by an automated system). Some are marked, but I think some of their vans aren't. Might be worth contacting them as it'll make hire simple. I use them regularly, they're no frills for the white van man types, and their vans are always a bit battered so got that authentic look! They're usually £93 p/day for weekend (inc insurance) and about £53 p/day during the week (inc insurance).
