  . We like to stay at the Come Inn hostel right in the centre of Hongdae. There is a little noise from the nightclubs at night, so avoid it if you think that might bother you (it didn't bother us) but the location is second to none - down a sidestreet right opposite the free market playground, just a stone's throw from Hongik Uni. Inside it is clean and quiet and feels more like a little house than a hostel. There's also a cute little cafe on the ground floor. http://comeinnkorea.com/#

  I recommend ComeInn Guesthouse. They have two locations in Hongdae. They are really nice, the rooms are clean and the prices are good. Their second location just opened a few months ago so things are new. Book early because they are pretty popular. :) http://comeinnkorea.com/
