*CALL OUT* O&O are one head mic down for a gig this weekend..We're seriously tempted to go buy one. Can anyone advise on a place to get one which isn't going to cost the earth??

I don't know what he'll charge, but if it's good service and good advice you want, I'd talk to Martyn Richards at http://www.soundkit.co.uk These small dealerships tend to be better, if a little more expensive, because if you urgently need help they will sometimes bend over backwards to sort you out, something which large companies rarely (never?) do.
Hello, I'm looking to buy a boom pole that I can screw my gun mic holder onto. I need it to be light, cheap and non-breakable. Can anyone suggest the best ones out there please?

Try bblist.co.uk for a good quality second hand one or soundkit.co.uk for new (the PSC poles are very nice). Alternatively if you want cheap and cheerful try the Rode products.
