  While buying local helps, it's not always the most affordable option for runners on a budget. Check out http://www.nationalrunningcenter.com Pretty great prices for all kinds of running gear. Be careful though when dressing in general for any kind of weather. I typically dress cold, or use the 20 degree rule where if it's 10 out, I dress as if it's 30. Plenty room to adjust though based on conditions.
