About us
Little Monkey Designs was founded by Diane Reitano. Diane studied graphic design at Durham College in her hometown, Oshawa, Ontario, and then worked in the field for 10 years. After her first son was born she suffered from PPD/PPA and the one positive thing she took from that hard experience was that life is too short not to follow your dreams and do what you have always truly wanted to. After a few months of group therapy/treatment she started to feel more like her bubbly self again, and she just knew she wanted to be able to enjoy every moment she had with her son. She knew working from home would allow her to do just that, so she decided to resign from her corporate job and start a new chapter in her life. Diane’s son Benjamin and his favourite stuffed animal, “Little Monkey”, inspired her to create a full line of completely customizable and modern Personalized Growth Charts, Pillows and Invitations. With the overwhelming and positive response Diane received when first introducing her products at local baby shows, she decided to open up shop, and the rest, as they say, is history. Since its launch, Diane has welcomed her second “Little Monkey”, Cristian, and is always working on adding new designs to her shop.
Benjamin and Cristian are Diane’s special “Little Monkey’s” and their fun loving personalities inspire her in what she creates everyday! We hope we can create something extra special and unique for you and your “Little Monkey” too!
