  My name is Nancy, I am an adoptee and starting to search, I hope to obtain more information on where to start, and networking to find resources to help me in my search. I have my non-identifying information and my adoption order, and birth registration. I was Born Linda Ann Stewart, Hamilton, Ontario at St Joseph's Hospital. March 24, 1970 at 5:15 pm. Birth mother name is Norine Stewart, from Owen Sound, ON, 15/16 years of age and of Scottish, Irish and French ethnic background. Her father was employed at a car wash, and she had 9 siblings. She had stayed in a maternity home in Hamilton, ON prior to my birth at; 19 Stinson St. Hamilton, ON. My adoption was through the Catholic Children’s Aid society. I have thought about searching for along time, and have finally decided to find my birthmother or maternal grandmother. I hope starting with this bit of information can reveal some more answers. Not sure what other pertinent info I should look for or need.

  You should join http://adoptionhealing.com it is a great idea to prepare for search and reunion Joe Solls book video and group has helped me immensely in the last four months of my searching journey. they do not help search even though there are many resources there to help but they do help you heal so after all the work you put into searching you dont end up with a diaster because you were unaware of feelings that might arise. Good luck in your search I just found out my nmom is still alive so never give up .....
