  Is anybody registered with Spire dental in Buckdon? I need emergency treatment and they appear to provide it. I'm on a waiting list for Stuckley Road but can't wait any longer! Just wanted to get a thumbs up before calling them. Thanks people.

  NHS emergency dental care is provided by Cambridgeshire Community Service NHS Trust . Tel: 01480 363 760. Clinic 5 The Treatment Centre Hinchingbrooke Hospital Huntingdon PE29 6NT. Appointment only, which are booked on a first come first served basis. Hope this helps.

  Just so everyone knows, regarding the NHS hinchingbrooke dental service: The dental access centre At Hinchingbrooke provide emergency dental treatment to patients who are unregistered or cannot see their own dentist. This service is Monday- Fri 8:30-4:45pm on a first come first served basis. They will do what they need to do to get you out of pain, but it will not be a temporary fix- you will need to register with a permanent dentist to have the final treatment. With regards to the weekend, you can ring NHS 111 and if they believe you required emergency dental treatment, they will book you in with the same emergency dental people, which are located alternated places- one weekend in Huntingdon, the next in Cambridge. They have limited appointments, but are for real emergencies like swelling or trauma. A & E are separate to the dental services, therefore if anyone turns up at A & E, they are unable to do any treatment other than maybe painkillers or anti biotics. No dental treatment will be carried out.

  I'm a dental nurse, we send patients that can't get appointments to hinchingbrooke, it has an emergency dental triage department. Just explain that your usual registered dentist can't see you for a long time and you cant deal with the pain it is causing, they should book you an appointment or advise you to call back in the morning. They will only usually fix it temporarily until you can get into your usual dentist. Number is 01480 363760 x
