Just had a bad experience at Firestone. Had a $99 coupon to do the front brakes. They told me my calipers were bad and the bill shot up to over $500. So I go into the garage and they are telling me the reason my brake pads, with over 100k on them, wore unevenly, because the calipers were "cockeyed" crooked. So I went to look and neither caliper was leaking, the brakes were working fine, and they were not down to the wear strip and squealing yet. I told them bullcrap! Change the pads, turn the rotors, and honor your coupon! They said no & They ended up charging me $10 for a brake inspection. I took it too Atlantic Automotive and paid $169.00 for the brake job. I have worked on hydraulic equipment for over 30 years and pistons do not get "cockeyed!" The cylinder seals will leak but mine function just fine. Who do you trust? I have lifetime alignment and Firestone tires. I did not drive away on good terms and did write this in the survey they sent. .
