Our Kenmore washer started giving off a burning smell. We took it apart and found the lid switch melted. The lid switch itself is cheap, but the harness wire that also melted inside the lid switch is apparently discontinued and/or very expensive ... anyone know a reliable repair person who might be able to tell us if it's worth replacing or if there is a way to get used parts? In reality, it's a small black plastic clip we need and the cost appears to be $100 to replace the whole assembly.
