  I'm in need of a mechanic that can work on a 2004 Ford Explorer transmission with +200k miles. Any local recommendations? The vehicle is running at high rpms ~4000, the OD light has started flashing, service engine light also. This is my daughter's car that she needs for school so unfortunately I can't get rid of it. Just put a used engine in it less than a year ago and really am hoping this is something that can be fixed without having to replace the transmission also. Thanks in advance! I forgot to add that we have been able to get the following codes: P0798 - Pressure Control Solenoid P0970 - Pressure Control Solenoid 'C' Control Circuit Low P1704 - Check Engine Lightt

  Jon Shugrue at Wholesale Auto replaced the transmission in my 99 explorer was very reasonable and did it in a reasonable amount of time. 508-987-2140. We have been going to him for 14 yrs. If you should end up needing a transmission or not he is a good guy!
