  I am from a city about an hour north of Birmingham and just about everyone I know makes the drive to St Vincent's hospital in B'ham. Dr Snowden is an OB/GYN there and she is awesome. She was my gyno when I lived at home and I soooo wanted her to deliver my baby last year, but now we're stationed in Philly :( I'm not sure if she is a Tricare providor but I would definitely look her up. Www.stvhs.com. Click on "find physician" then go from there. Her clinic is Henderson & Walton Women's Center (www.hwwc.net). Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills, Gardendale, and Hoover are good suburbs. Wikipedia has lots of info about the city. Also, al.com (search "birmingham"), birminghamal.gov. There's lots to do there. Good luck and I hope you like it there! Hope this helps!
