About us
Over the past few months we have been working very hard to completely update the kennels and cattery and are looking forward to welcoming you and your pets.
We have installed a newly insulated roof throughout the property and all of our kennels now boast underfloor heating. Additionally, a perimeter fence has been newly erected ensuring complete security for your pets.
Dogs:
Our brand new runs are extremely spacious and comfortable, each kennel having its own bedding and exercise area. We are situated on 6 acres of land with ample areas for exercise to prevent boredom and stereotypical behaviour common to dogs boarded in kennels.
Here at Acorn, we insist on your dog being well exercised and inclusive of the boarding rate (health permitting) your dogs will be exercised twice a day. The welfare and happiness of your pet is paramount to our ethos.
Cats:
Our cattery has been built to the highest standard and is fully heated with raised beds complete with an eye-level walkway allowing your cat the mobility it desires. Each enclosure offers natural light and environmental enrichment in an area where they will feel secure and unthreatened.
Acorn Kennels and Cattery provide a comfortable holiday home for your pets where they receive the care and attention you would expect.
